Powerflow are good for looks and sounds, but do naff all for performance. I say Magnex ftw. And besides, when you tell your insurance company, they very rarely ask for a performance increase in BHP, just so long as you have told them you have modified your exhaust the extra cost is usually 'fixed'.

so what would be better for sound powerflow or magnex?

powerflow are custom built to your spec

they are abit hit and miss quality wise

a magnex is pretty quiet, piper is louder and also is a good quality exhaust :)

Personally I wouldnt go for a Magnex purely on looks, the rear box is far too big for the car and hangs below the bumper, add that to the fact the saxos tailpipe exits to one side of the can it adds upto a rather poor look exhaust as you can see

Piper and Janspeed boxes sit bettter than the Magnex and with the Piper your get more than one choice (3" round)

Look at what other options are out there, also the Magnex systems are slightly too long so the tailpipe comes out alittle too far. A good fitter can sort this but if just fitted can look poor. Shame cos I liked Magnex till I saw them on Saxos.

People seem happy with performance gains its just the looks for me, sorry

The magnex's sound no different to a standard exhaust imo:n:

hehehe the amount of times Ive heard that or not as the case maybe lol

If I was going for an off the self jobbbie Id look to Scoprion or Piper first, Ive had a Janspeed and that wasnt much louder than standard really. But then if your doing over 2hrs in a car on the motorway with a straight though exhaust and GroupN back box that aint no fun thrust me ;)

Price up Janspeed/Scorpion/Mongoose and Piper against the Magnex as they will all look the same in the 3'/3.5" inwardly rolled tailpipe option and there wont be alot of noise difference in it. Janspeed and Magnex at the quieter end and the others being slightly louder.

Dont discount Supersprint, Jetex, Remus or Miltek just because they are abit harder to come by.

Magnex. I say that cos i have one on my vts and it was on my vtr before that.

With some slight adjustment (any mechanic will be able to do) they look good. Also it is louder than standard and has given a slight gain in power, its a good volume when cruising but opens up when you floor it.
