my car needs a new one and i was wondering how easy it is to fit one

Its just another box in the system, simple, some cars have sensors near or in the cat but these are just threaded just like a bolt and with plenty of WD40 should come out alright.

I have heard they come out easier when warm due to the metal expanding when warm, not sure Id want do that, Ive been burnt once too many times sorting exhausts when still warm lol

Have a read of a haynes and see what you think, as long as you have good clearance to work your be ok

mines due for one too, getting a garage to slap it on though, £20 all in done dusted :)

mk2 cat is in the manifold so you will need a new manifold. Or put an aftermarket manifold on and get an mk1 centre section and cat.

Yeah it is, should cost no more than £60/70 for the cat itself, fitting costs vary :)
