I recently said i was going to put a powerflow back box on my 1.1i but thanks to financial cramp had to just get a simple standard box for £20 from tms.:wall: but here's the problem...it sounds as tho i have actually stuck a propa aftermarket back box on! :y: it warbles back at 2500rpm when you take your foot of the accelerator and sounds class throughout the rev range! i aint complainin but could something else be gone in my car?!?! any advice would be appreciated!!

The most obvious place to look would be where the backbox is attached to the centre section, iknow from when mine was fitted the correct fitment is using a circular clamp that goes over the existing pipe and over the exhaust end, if there was a leak here it could make the system louder than usual..

i wouldnt worry to much if its a sound ur happy with then win win IMO.

no problem lad,

just to note - my vtr standard exhaust used to sound quite grunty with a tinny sound on idle.

Agree if yor happy with the sound then keep it until it falls apart or off. Grab yourself a Chrome tailpipe trim off somewhere like eBay and either clamp it on or find one which is bigger and get someone to weld it to the back box on the car :y:
