shell's Posi Desire Progress. sold

the cars not finished yet but thought it was about time i did one of these so here goes.

this is not our car but wat it looked like wen my girlfriend got it for her 18th birthday one lady owner with just motorway miles and full citroen service history.

then we went mad for a short period of time and fitted lexus lights.lol

we got 16" bk's lowwered it 35mm fitted a peco s/s back box k and n induction kit ecotec valve you cant see it in the pic but its there and then we fitted a dimma grille with white mesh.the mesh is notto every ones taste but i like it.

it pretty much stayed like that for a few months then on ebay i got a vtr kit minus the bumper for £100 and the work had an old vtr bumper lying around so i aquired that.after that we struggled to get a back bumper for a while then i found one on ebay for £30 with an ibiza splitter on it.while we waited for money to get it painted i smoked the front lights and fogs and tinted the windows got good discount at tint haus cause a mate works there.

so it was time for the vt kit to be fitted blagged a mates workshop for a weekend cut flared and sealed the kit on. ripped the interior out for a new instal painted bits of the dash and fitted the corbreu forza sport buckets heres how it looked in the worshop.

its currently at a mates getting painted a new exhaust quick shift and xsport gear linkages fitted then wen we get it back theres a set of smoked rear jewels going on, t cutting the rear badges then its off to our local radio shop for a custom install to fill the hole were the rear seats used to be. will update soon as the car is finished hopefully in the next few weeks as always comments are welcome .

Lovely mate. I wish I did this now. Just bought say a Silver 1.1 and made it look like a two tone. When your out cruising and not hammering it you'd love something economical that looks good.

thats exactly what i want people say why didnt you just buy a vtr but i want something that looks rwaly aggresive but doesnt cost alot to run just doing a few engine mods like the shifter and induction kit if i go serious with engine putting a xsara vts engine in it.

like my car is lowered with gmax kit so i have a tiny sticker on my sunstrip that isnt that bad that says gmax but when plasted in stcikers looks abit chavvey lol

cheers i used to work as a panel beater so that knowledge came in handy for fitting the kit and a mate for painting it i work as a sighn writter now so was gona make them my self with a chrome edge and black inlay only gona use brands thats on the car.

heres a small update now the car is back from paint i spent this morning taking out the rear seats fitting our new buckets and fitting the dash back together now were just waiting on our blue sparco harneses and a couple of hundred quid a mate is due me then it can get the install done.

class job. was it a full respray? how much that set you back? ive got a vt kit sitting in the garage waiting to get on my 1.1 (black). just in process of meshing the grille and gonna smoke headlights while funds are low

total weve spent on car is about 4 grand to date without the cutom install. respray was jus the kit but the colour match is perfect fitted the kit myself and a mate painted it for us for £300 but we bought the paint and with trade discount it cost us 300 it was £100 pound alone for the colour then there was laquer thinners base coat primer filler the list needed was endless but a quality job at half the bodyshop price.

oe citroen clips and window bonder. had to cut arches flare them out bont the kit on then seal between the arch and kit under neath to stop water geting up the back o them.

not an update more of a back track i feel like crying the cars been off the road all week and will be for a while got a price from shitroen for a new hub and they quoted 150 for a hub and bearing and still need a whing and a new set of alloys then pay for the work to be done so i think itl be of the road for a good month or 2

yeah got the car back from shitroen today 290 for a new hub and front discs they also gave me 8 new wheel bolts just waiting on the wing wing coming on thursday then heil be back on the road with a dark blue wing 2 steelies and 2 alloys but hay atleast it road worthy now

weyhay got the car back on the road today received the new wing from overton scrapyard and fitted it after i finished work and shitroen charged me £300 on tue to fit and supply 2 new vt discs a hub and bearing so heres how she looks just now got the good onl stealies back on the front as the holes on one for the bolts were all elongated so its time for some new alloys me thinks.

did some work to the engine bay today over the last couple of days i wrapped my fuse box covers and ecu cover in carbon vynal and today a little package came my custom induction hose came. here a pic with the old induction and the new one its suposed to have a carbon box but it was on a mates c2 so the mounting points for the box arent the same gona add a cool air feed to help it a bit what you guys think the rocker cover is going white and the mani cover is going black until i get a 4-2-1 and wrap it in heat wrap

small update will post pics soon as i get some was getting a small water leak coming from the badges so i took them off to re tape them and while i had them of i decided to colour code them and while i was at it i did my washers aswell not decided if i like the badges yet but the washers look goot i also put a wee bit of sealer on the inside of the tailgate where the pins for the badges come through tototaly stop any water getting in.

ripped all the carpet out the other day stripped the car bare and set about sound deadning it ive done the quarters boot floor tailgate doors wheel pan under the carpet then stuck the carpet back on back panel and the floor pan under the front seats just need to refit the underlay and carpet now finished the trims tonite its looking sweet should hopefully get some money together for an install soon was gona send it to a professional but decided now to keep costs down to have a crack at it myself then get it retrimmed to match the buckets will upload pics when i get my comp fixed

ok small update of things to be fitted soon

got my strutbrace today from furio fanatic had some gouges init so filled them and sprayed it white.

rocker cover will be going white soon.

the cars booked in on tue for an alarm

while the alarms being done the installs going to get trimmed

and this weekend me and my mate will be polishing my vts wheels then the rubber will be put on

and then prob repaint the callipers thats it just now but will be a busy week will add pics once its all done.

rite car has been at the body shop for two days and i cant beleive how bad it is with one car. got my new lights the other day and currently waiting on an auction to end for some 106 mirrors. st unique has completed my smoothed boot handle.i also sent him the center console and vents for a custom paint job.the install will be getting sent off to be trimmed. ordered a new sax-p sticker aswell.lo progress is coming with the new rims but its slow hard work with them.also will be tarting up the engine bay a bit more when i get the car back.so all in all the car should be 100 times better when i get it back. currently sorting out buying a house with a drive. so big gates will be going in with a pop up pole in the middle aswell and also cctv see the fuckers get the car now lol.

thanks its not to bad for a 1.1 does a 19 sec 1/4. but could get a bit more power out of it i think. getting a 4-2-1 mani soon and changing the simota open induction for a raceland enclosed with green filter.the early mk2's are black top but the later ones are a silver top.

went out yesterday to see how it was getting on and the actual car is painted. it was being wet sanded for polishing. the kit is still to be painted,fitted then the whole car built back together so should be next weekend hopefully.

still to be done drop it 50mm get the vts rims on was going to polish them but cant get them right so have to decide on a colour.ideas on wheel colours welcome. refurb the strut brace again,repaint the calipers,retint the car,tidy up the engine bay and job done maybe see bout a small feature in a mag.

well what a day today since about 12 till half an hour ago ive been fitting my 4-1 mani. sounds great but its blowing from the gasget i ordered a new one from citroen but it didnt come in in time so hopefully that will sort it. its made the car relativly more responsive which is good. didnt get round to doing the shocks or changing the wheels hopefully get the wheels done tomorow and the shocks done next weekend.

so im getting bored with the car so want to do something new.was thinking about removing the ibiza splitter on the back. or maybe flush the slats over. i want to freshen the front end up aswell seen a thread a while ago with a guy that wanted to put black vynal on the swage lines of his bonnet and roof and also painting the front end like the st's. any ideas that wont mean getting things resprayed

well i went out for a drive to vent some anger. was going round a back road ive been down a few times was at the speed limit. but as i came round one corner i hit black ice and the car locked up. went blank for a sec and the car was lying on its side in a ditch with a small burn running through it had to clime out of the passenger door. the car was horizontal. i was on my tod with no phone and no cars on the road but luckly of 5 mins of waiting in pitch black a car came past and stoped.they let me use their phone to phone shell and also the police. so its now in the lock up pics will follow of the damage if any as it was dark and i could see anything. :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::w all::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wal l::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:

dont know if you can see it in the pics but there is a big dent in the 1/4 panel and a couple of little one's. a dent just above the door on the pillar,a dent under the mirror,fucked mirror,dent on the wing at the front, the driverside wheels need refurbed, need to rebuilt the install as it all moved forward and is split,the sub box ended upside down and nearly broke the 1/4 glass. all in all pretty lucky.

It's not bad at all and tbh the damages are hardly visible in the pics, you must have only slightly rolled in the ditch for such little damage. Problem is it's rear quarter mainly but as they're only small won't set you back to much. Happy for you man and glad you're ok :y:
