recently had a 106 GTi engine put in the saxo, so basically a Vts, any way ive got a pipercross viper induction kit fitted at the minute and im not sure if its doin much good? so i was thinkin of just putting the standard airbox back on with a replacement element (K&N etc). im at the stage (and age) now with the new engine where i just want to get the best performance out of it rather than sounding 'PHAT' or whatever. Any 1 done this change in their 16v? any differences noticed? cheers :y:

Def get rid of the viper mate. Theyre actually known for losing power theyre worse than open cones. Def get a std airbox or a scoop filter or BMC.
Personally i dont think there will be any filtration differences between an uprated panel filter and a BMC/Raceland, but the piping on the std box might be a bit restictive? Not sure on the VTS setup ive never had a proper look at it

yeah, the viper looks and sounds nice but thats about it.... and for £250 they dont seem to do a very good job tbh. when i put the standard airbox back ill probably modify the cold air feed in some way.

i have it, and with a direct cold air feed u notice the difference than without one,
itll be like any other enclosed filter tbh tho £250 is expensive for what it is..
