as some of you know im doing a vts conversion on my VTR.

i know you have to inform the insurance (which i will be doing) and that you have to declare it to the DVLA.

which form is it required to do this, is it just the log book or is there a specific form,

also will i need an engineers report or similar?

any links or info helpful,

cheers in advance

Yes you just alter the log book with the new engine number and phone the insurance company and tell them. Its always best if garage has fitted it but I do not believe there is ant legal requirement in the UK to do so. I should warn you that your insurance will jump when you do this.

i MAY need an engineers report.

my insurance in £200 cheaper than it was last year on the standard VTR (all mods declared), with Flux if you declare all your mods it tends to get cheaper compared to other companies as they can see that you spent alot of money on your car and that your not about to wrap it round a tree.

cheers AX

If you need an engineers report you can Blag it.

my mate needed one for his engine conversion and suspension.

i wrote a mini report saying id acessed it and wrote it out on headed paper they were happy enough with it. i am an engineer though lol

Didn't need an engineers report for Flux, I filled out the mods questionaire and they simply stated that all work was carried out by myself, not had anything back from it. DVLA is easy enough as said unless your going up a tax band i.e. 1.4 - 1.6 as you have to surrender your tax and sorn the car then re-register it at DVLA office. Since your VTr already you won't need to do this.
