If you put a set of cams in, and you had the head of already, after you have it skimmed and all cleaned up, would it be good also to get it port and polished while head is off?
Is it just the head they do or other parts of engine aswell?
Also what kind of place would do it?
And lastly, what kind of prices do places normally charge for this to be done?

To answer main question yes it would be a good idea.
Lots of tuning companies do them including us, have a good search on here.
Expect to pay anything from £400-£1500 or more :)

is it just the head they do? what gain will you get from it if you already have cams?

Yes its just the head they would p&p.
They couldnt test the gains made with your new (ph3) cams as this would mean it being fitted to a car & dyno'd etc. What you would get is a flow bench result ie:flowed this much before & after p&p.
Hope that makes sence.

PS:Nice to see another Derby member tweakin there Sax.

Hi,
Your right there's quite a few Saxo's in/around Derby but I do confess to being one of the ones that does'nt post as much in the mid section nor show up for meets, my weekends are always consumed with working and fixing my new VTS :p
There's no repatable head tweakers 'i know of' in/around Derby i'm afraid. :(
ManC
PS:Who's fitting and timing your cams?

The VTS is currently in garage awaiting my attention :p, see signature.
Currently it doesnt have MOT or TAX :( , gonna get these sorted first then look at getting performance work done.

The postcode for Cambridge Rebores is CB250BT, just incase other get confused. There a couple hours away from us Derby members. :n:
The work you've had done by Cambridge Rebores looks impressive and for the price is really good going. Correct me if I'm wrong but you've had both headwork and indeed work to the bottom end, all of which was done under £700 this is quite impressive and good value for money. Did Cambridge Rebores supply some sort of flowbench results? or was it tweaked by a experienced engineer?
Had a quick peek through your photobucket images and you look to have a impressive boosted VTS, did you do most of the rebuild work yourself?
