if your starting from scratch then induction kit, exhaust and a decent manifold should be the first things on the list. depends what power you want to achieve and your budget:y:

ok thanks. as you can see im pretty amature at this.

already got a K&N induction kit on the car as i bought it like that, but i heard by putting an induction kit like that on a 1.6 8v it will just draw in warm air and will slaughter the potential power gains...??

www.kam-racing.com is a very good site. Yes, you're right about the induction kit. For the best gains you're best with just a panel filter in the original airbox or the likes of a green enclosed or, if you're on a budget, a raceland enclosed with green filter which Kam sells.

open filters are only really good if you want noise. enclosed induction kits are better for power gains. I would recommend a raceland green or bmc enclosed:y:

right.. ok...

is it a problem that i bought the car with the K&N already on the car, which means i have no ordinary airfilter to stick the panel filter in??

or if i was to get a raceland green kit that would solve it ??

If you don't have the original air box etc then yes, any enclosed kit would solve your problem.

i recomend raceland enclosed with green filter or BMC CDA, 4-2-1 raceland manifold, de-cat, piper backbox....should feel a difference.

im aiming at a Raceland Enclosed Green & Piper lol, not sure about manifold though, abit too much as im 17 lol... hopefully should get some gains outa that, but was looking at supersprint box's they seem amazing.
