My Engine...

My VTR is "2000" X reg...... therefore i wondered what engine was in it. I always presumed the phase twos had the 98 bhp. Then after a little research i found out these seem to come in after 2001....

Now having looked through the sticky concering this matter, i 100% have the 98bhp engine, now why was this the case, when everything i always looks at seems to indicate it shouldn't be?

X can be an early 2001

if its in the middle 98bhp
to the side 90bhp

100% 3 plug.... the 98bhp engine is identical to mine....

I have the same thing mine is a late 2000 xreg and i def have the 98bhp engine. Your not alone!

my mate has the late 2000 X reg, but its the 90bhp!

must have started using the new model of engines in the mk1 VTR's near the end of its production live or someone put a mk2 engine it in. strange

depends on if black top=90bhp silver=98bhp hope this helps
