right this year i have big plans for the old sax. Looking at purchasing a vts lump and throwing a turbo on her. Can someone give me a list of pretty much everything i need and how much it will roughly costs. Will be needing some help with things if im going to get this project started. I dont want it to be me paying money to get the car and stuff sent off to a garage to be done im looking at doing the work on it myself and hopefully with the help from members off here. I'm not that mechanically minded but i know basics, this is why i want to do some of the work myself so i can learn some more. Can you lot help? Roughly want around 140-160bhp at the wheels if thats possible. Any feedback and help would be greatly appreciated.

If your asking how much it might cost dont bother.

What ever you end up budgeting, add another thousand or too on top, to account for any major problems that might occur.

160 wbhp is not a problem on a healthy charged 16v 1.6 engine.

If you need impartial advice please don't hesitate to contact me on the number in my sig, and i'll give you as much help as i can :)

To start i think you need to understand how a turbo works, without knowing that you cant buy your bits or troubleshoot later on..

www.howitworks.com might be a good read for you..
