Ok guys and gals, ive got a bad idle like every other citroen owner and when the car is warm it revs higher than standard tick over. i changed the crank sensor which made no difference, so i was told it could be the coolant temperature sensor, has anyone got a citroen part number or anywhere i can get one from. And also if someone could clarify, that it is the sensor on the left hand side of the block. If anyone has a pic that would be great.
Oh and its a 1999 mk2 vtr.
Thanks

Cheers for that lad, how would i go about checking the coils then????
All the the other sensors have been re-newed the only one left is the coolant temp sensor. Plugs and all that are new, just had big service. :p

get out a multimeter.. far to many people on this website read a thread then give people false information....
its a BIG and COMMON problem on a saxo that the coils go easily without warning, poor idle tends to start from a 2 minute check with a multimeter or take it off and try another if your not sure, not new since their expensive..
when on idle on startup before the chokes off does it idle at 1000rpm then when its warm it drops to 800 and you can feel it shaking / vibrating like its struggling

basically if i start it first thing in the morning, it will slightly struggle in other words to will take a few seconds to start (not first turn of the key). it will then idle just above 1000rpm once warm then drop to just belowe 1000rpm. If i stop the car half hour after driving, and then re-start it, it will idle above 1000rpm as if the choke is on.
