Either supersprint or raceland id say.

Hard to tell unless you compare them directly.

What does heatwrap actually do, apart from the obvious (keeping the heat fromt he engine bay!) and is it possible to wrap it while its on the car and how do you secure it??

and finaly, would you say its worth keeping or gettin a new one??

Heat wrap keeps the hot gasses in the exhaust and stops them fron escaping, hence making the gasses flow quicker and more efficiently. Not only does it do this, it keeps down engine bay temperatures.

The manifold looks good, so i wouldnt bother taking it off. Not unless you were taking it off to wrap it, cus i think you might struggle to wrap it in situ, but you could give it go. You get little wire clips that hold the wrap on tightly.

You can get em on ebay for cheap! :y:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=310034295860&Category=38786&_trksid=p3907.m29

OR would this one be better?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=230234708657&Category=38786&_trksid=p3907.m29

And when your wrapping it, how many times should you go round etc??

thicker one would probably be easier. mind that heat wrapping manifolds can make them crack...

no for obvious reasons :p

but im sure the racelands dont look like that even when they have been used, they go more like a rainbow effect, that one pictured doesnt look to go like that looks more like a supersprint to me thats all

To maybe help people out a little if you look at the first picture you can see what is like a metal tube coming from one of the manifolds exit pipes (2nd in from the left) not sure what its for at all but duno what other manifolds have this....

If it a supersprint there should be a small plate welded onto the side of the pipes with the supersprint logo and text.

It looks like a Supersprint to be honest. If you look closely it has bolts welded on to mount the heat shield. Like Stormin said there should also be a Supersprint tag welded onto the pipe on the far left, there is also one welded on the pipe on the far right. Infact if you look carefully at the picture i think you can just see one of the welds that holds the tag on the right hand pipe.

have not noticed anything before though!

and is that what that small pipe coming out of one of the branches is for, to secure a heatsheild???

And what is this about it saving someones life! :panic::panic:

Right got a question how many times do you wrap it around the manifold?

is it just a single layer of the stuff?

also how many rolls would you need.. would the 5m rolls be ok?

Best place to buy it?

my advice to you is to create your own thread and ask there,

1, you will get more replys
2, you wont get neg rep from me for being a tit and asking in my thread!
and
3, read the rules of sax-p and use the search button before asking

Good luck :y:
