The guy im getting the silver top engine from is Andy from Hiflow heads, its a VTR engine that's done zero miles its a silver top but hes positive that i can do a straight swap with my blacktop and just use my ECU and wiring loom. i wasn't too sure about this but the amount of Peugeot and Citroen work they do there, he must know what hes talking about.

im thinking of getting it next week, any thoughts?

As per other thread, what makes it zero miles? Has he rebuilt it? In which case what parts have been changed?

Might be worth a quick search around the net for opinions about Hiflow....

Hiflow do brand new engines. The vtr one comes in at £750 straight from the factory with 0 miles.

As far as i know megabob it is not a straight swap, could be wrong though.

no its actually a brand new fresh from factory, never been used. the website looks legit and they seem to have contacts with some good companies.

Edit* got their before me Lozza

I stand corrected!

That's a phenomenal price if it is genuinely a brand new engine though. Does it come with all the sensors, manifolds, flywheel, alternator, starter etc?

or i could get their refurbed performance black top:
"Freshly rebored block, New piston rings, Oil pump, water pump, crank shaft bearings. Timing belt Kit, st3 head , Kent Cam , vernier pulley."

but its £1350, but if im gonna do an engine transplant it i may as well do it right ;)

edit* its stated as being a Roller rocker (Silver top) does this make a difference being a roller rocker or are all mk2 VTR engines roller rocker
