Hi, i have a janspeed manifold and it sits really low, you can literally see under the bumper, are all performance manifolds like this or do other makes sit higher? thanks

ive just had my janspeed manifold fitted last week, and it does sit very low, ive allready hit the ground when i was going down a rocky road, so be carefull mate.

During the convoy to the rr day we went to saturday, the guy infront said he could see my mani in his mirror :P

yea i know thats why im asking, my manifold has been trashed lmao, is it just janspeed thats like this?

i think so as i havnt heard any complaints about any other manifold

most performance manis hang lower than standard

4-2-1s like the janspeed arent too bad

the 4-1 like the gmc and piper are worse

sorry to mess the thread up

but....what if you where to cut say an inch section out then reweld?

would that effect the performance?

All i can suggest is to fit a lower strut brace, so you dont put dents in the manifold making it useless anyway.

ive just been to my local powerflow in stafford and he said hes goin to actually cut the dented section out and replace it with a new section and he also said he could cut some of the curvature out for me so it dosent hang as low.

Hes a top bloke and would recommend him to anyone local with a dented manifold!

my 4-1 from gmc is funnily low thats why i not lowering my car too much risk lol

plus its the only stainless 4-1 on a vtr from gmc :P
