yep, 1.4 westcoast currently at 79.8bhp rolling roaded with a magnex system WITH cat and a k&n open filter.

Whats your estimates after:

4,2,1 raceland manifold
magnex de-cat pipe
enclosed raceland induction green filter

then after that some sort of cam with your recomendation?

reps where i can again :y:

With the breathing mods you will maybe gain an extra 5-6bhp

Not sure about the cam though...

as said above but i would geusstimate more conservatively at aroun 4 to 5 bhp as it is only a 1.4

kamracing do cams for 14's

I would say with those mods you would be within the region of 90 BHP. for the cam, your best bet is Catcams or Kamracing:y:

Too high! No chance! After the cams maybe 95-98(ish), with a remap that is...

cheers lads, i was told by a mate 100bhp i thought that was a bit too far, i was thinking 90ish MAX

What can i do to get this engine to around 110bhp or as close as i can to it, without spending a fortune?

EDIT: jus read coonpers post OOOF! no chance of getting this engine near the 100mark then lmao!

100 bhp is definitely possible, but 20bhp is a big gain to have when you've only got 80bhp to start with. Thats a 25% increase!!

You would need a lairy cam and some mild head work to get that sort of power i would have thought. Not really my area mate, but thats my opinion.

dont really want to spend a fortune on it as im doing a 16v conversion in a year or two, so just doing failry cheap mods to the 1.4 till then, nothing over £200 on a single mod, and would expectan increase in power. obv a re-map too though.

save your money, you're pissing in the wind tuning a 1.4. save for a vts engine or a faster car.

true, but i cant resist doing bits n bobs to this, only reason getting a 4,2,1 is couse my downnpipe has broke so thought may aswell get a the whole lot :D

everything else i can jus use with the vts engine, such as body parts, strut braces etc. and de-cat pipes etc.
