basically from what i could work out, theres 2 types of alternator mountings, one with the tensioner and one without. my vtr alternator just slid back and forth to adjust the tightness and i presime the vts uses the tensioner. however the VTR alternator still fits the VTS mountings. might need some new bolts tho, i just ordered them from citroen. And the belts are different between the two types as well from what i can see.

great so you can just swap the mointings but will defo need a new belt. thought as much as the vts belt system is a lot more complx than the vtr one

if you change the mountings you may also need to change the pulley, i think the VTR mountings leave the alternator slightly further out. not 100% tho

ahhhh bollocks. i beleive the vtr pulley is a different offset. il just buy a new belt andlive with the current alternator for a bit i think.
its only just clicking if you wind in backwards an forewards
