Hi! I need to wire up the oil temp sensor from my 16v engine transplant to my vts dials in my vtr.
To do so i need the help of someone with a mk2 vts with 3 plug ecu(2001 or newer)
It's a very simple procedure, all you need is a multimeter and a camera.
Take the plug off the oil temp sensor(this is located on the back of the sump, 2 pin connector) It is held on with a plastic releaseable clip or on some models a depressable metal tab on the plug.
Take the engine loom connector off(this is the big round plug on the inner wing on the passengers side right at the front, the outer section rotates to free the plug).
Now set your multimeter to continuity(diode/bleep setting) and test between the oil temp sensor plug(on the loom not the sensor) and the engine loom connector, take a pic of the connector and mark on it which pin(s) are connected.
This will be hugely appreciated, and i will be in your eternal debt if you help me get this wired up :)
Thanks
Alex
