my engine management light has just come on all of a sudden only had the car a couple days weird since the car has full mot which was done a week ago, took it to diagnostics cost £15 at a local garage guy resetted it the light went for a couple days now its back

bought car in manchester and i live nowhere near there so cant just go back, it did come with an AA warranty (not got docs yet)

what could the other reasons for it be? hardly drove the car maybe at most done abot 30miles

worried its something serious the car feels normal nothing wrong at all ! pissed off about this got me depressed lol

thanks for any advice

if its driving fine then thats an encouraging sign

get it checked out properly, could be a minor fault. I'd have thought if it was that bad you'd notice in the way the car was running.

Could be anything mate, mine comes on and goes off all the time. I just ignore it, is the car de-cat'd? Could be a sensor or something. If it's driving fine, and you know/think everything is alright, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Does it stay on or does it go off if you rev the engine at all?

Get a diagnostic done. About £60 from Citroen.

yes they do mate bu they are not 10% acurate all the time.

if you got the car diagnoised and they plugged it into the machine to reset the light then they should have told you what caused it to come on

if its a standard exhaust, and making alot of noise it might be a hole in the exhaust causing a loss of back pressure, resulting in the engine managment light coming on.

happens to my car all the time :S
