VTR reving speed

hey guys,

what mods can increase the spped of the car reving? my 2003 VTR takes ages to reach 6k in 2nd and 3rd

shorter gearbox - 106 xsi, vts/106 gti, s1 106 rallye 'box. You don't need to rev to 6k though as the vtr's peak power is around 5.6k-5.8k

Give it more power, or a shorter ratio box.

are 1.1 box's shorter as well?

my vtr feels the same, takes an age to get to 5k revs in 2nd and 3rd. bit of an eco warrior though.

I dnt see how its slow in 2nd and 3rd never bounced the limiter in my car but isnt slow at getting to 5,000 in any gear on mine and its a mark2 03

i dont exacty bounce off the limiter, but i've driven 1.1's that feel as nippy in low gears and this must be the reason.
