this is prob the wrong section and been covered many a time but couldnt find anything relevent

1. do you need to use high heat paint when spraying your rocker cover.

2. can you cam a 1.1 silly idea i kow but was wondering as im not looking to fit a new lump to the car and if i did then i would buy a cheap high milage vts or gti lump and rebuild it from bottom up making it zero milage which i dont have the cash for so its down to improing the 1.1

1) You dont need heat resistant paint for the rocker cover
2) No point, as it will cost you over £600 to get it all set up and you will get what, an extra 10bhp tops?

I've thought about this before too, cams, but thought better of it in the end, wasting money really for what you'll get out of it.

You'll have the same problem as me having a 1.1l VT kitted sax, getting people wanna have a go thinking it's a VTR/S and you have nearly half the bhp under the bonnet, lol.

Yes, any paint will do the job. Spray paint, or hammerite or something.
