havea go in both see what suits you better. some that likes the power delivery of a turbod car may give you advice, but you may prefer SC. gotta decide for yourself imo.

Lol always have that in my back pocket. Actually, sounds like the repair bill of most saxos, thats why I have it :p

cool :y: most peeps thinking turboing etc costs 50quid lol

I myself have never been in a suoercharged car, although i have owned a turbo car (200sx) and am getting a new turbo car (lancer) this weekend :y:

i love turbos

so i would go that option, but lots of people have done this

so maybe supercharger is the key?

For £5k..you could buy another 4 Saxo VTS's.. then build a 5 engined Saxo.. :P

lol i fink i will stick to the 1 car!
Yeh i driven my m8s old 200sx which is a turbo and liked the way it deliverd the power, but on the otherhand i'v driven a cooper s which is supercharged and that was wicked.
I spose i really need to go in a saxo thats had it dne to really feel the difference in that

i love the sound of supercharged engines and really, they are rare.

Turbos sound chavy with dump valves and deliver power harshly when they kick in.

Ive driven turbod saabs, corsas and diesels.

Ive had a mini cooper s (the supercharged old one) and that was the best noise in the world whining along like a SLR.

Get a supercharger as the people that appreciate it arent wearing baseball caps asking "how much boost you running bruv" when you park it.

Definately supercharger my mate has an old skool g40 mk1 golf it's awesome, for performance it's supercharger all the way as you'll have no turbo lag and as said previous turbo's are harsh on delivery and abit chavvy!!! Lol

How are turbo chargers chavvy? Don't think i follow

Supercharger noises are great, but the bigger the charger, the more power it saps from the engine, But there easier to install that a turbo, but also more exspensive to buy, i think it's 50/50.

I prefer the noise of a turbo, not the VTA noise, but the spooling. IMO Chargers can sound a bit like a washing machine on full spin. lol

id say turbo-ing is a lot easier than supercharging.

a supercharger would have to be mounted and custom belt would be needed to drive it, i dont know how much space a vts would have spare under the bonnet?

turbocharging - well a custom manifold and boost piping circuit could be a slight issue - but thats what bendy pipes are for!!

plus with a turbo you have alot of options, and they are easier and cheaper to replace.

if you get bored of supercharged power you can always get smaller pulleys to increase the power, but again robbing the engine of power to create instant boost will be good!!

its a personal taste.

turbo FTW

you can buy mini-cooper s superchargers on ebay, and they bolt on to saxos aswell

personally i like superchargers since the powers all their, and doesnt jump in hard :o although having a blast in a turbo is very nice...

althought for a saxo most people will say rotrex chargers from gmc, but i also hear their not very relieable?

I don't see how you can say the power delivery from a supercharger is less harsh than a turbo? Take a decent eaton'd G40... Cruising on the motorway at 4000 rpm, nail the throttle 150 bhp hits you in the face instantly and keeps on building up to the limiter (8k in some cases) if on toothed belts!

And 150-200 brake in a car that weighs less than 800kg is enough I would say.

id say turbo tbh, i love the sound of supercharges, but turbo just has that, coming onto boost feeling, and when some chav overtakes you, you can pin it, and give him PSHHHT on the way past
