Not really, depends on the rest of the set up. I lost low down torque, quite a lot of it from how the car feels. But it does rev much more freely.

De-cat will make it louder of course, depends just how loud you like it tbh...

i had the de-cat taken out of my car and its so loud the polic just stare at me everytime i go past them

I decatted my vtr and it sounds ace, you can hear my car coming from miles away lmao but its not a crap sound it sounds nice.
