I have searched for the answer before people get upset - But didnt find anything. Whats the difference between the BMC CDA and DIA. Is it simply the fact that one is made of carbon and one not. I recall reading that carbon fiber is less affected by heat soak and therefore is a more viable option if wanting to get the best out of the engine. I Have a pipecross open atm on my furio and want something thats not going to be as suseptable to heat soak, hence my searching. Do these induction kits typically come with just the 90 deg hosing and thats it, i.e nothing to feed from the front of the car? I am willing to do a spot of bodgin but would be nice to know before i whack the old cash out.

I apologise to anyone who has seen this thread before and wants to physically trash the screen in frustration but i have been on sax p for a while and not found an answer.

cheers

Not many people know much about the DIA as I don't think many people have them yet.

Its basically the same as the CDA in the way it works and the hoses you get. The biggest difference is the filter housing. The CDA is a large carbon fibre enclosure and the DIA is a smaller plastic one.

both work as well as each other jsut the DIA uses more economical materials. There was a whole race series that used the DIA but I forget which one. The C2 cup or something. Got a spec somewhere

i have the dia, basically beause i saw it in my local halfords for £100, it is a really good induction kit, before i had like just an open k and n, i was going to get a cda, but just saw this and thought it would be easier than having to order a cda, i would recommed it, although, it isnt easy finding a good cold air location for it:(
