where the turbo sits above the mani rather than below? Only one I can think of is Burtay's old car from Turkey but it needed a mahoosive bulge at the front of the bonnet so he could close it http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8789&page=3

DP did do one (or should I say the guy who started it all did one for his own car) and Bucky has made them on AXOC.

You can fit a bigger turbo in. Bucky had a T40(forget the rest of the code) Though its probably better to move the battery in the car and fit the turbo next to the engine if you want a really big one. With the turbo next to it you have plenty of space to fit a pulls tuned manifold (long primaries)

why not ditch the battery tray and mount it over gearbox,
distrbutes heat also.
whats the zetec boy's seem to do.

I dont see the point. A T25(60R) can flow 320BHP using a small .42 A/R compressor cover with very little lag. anything bigger than a T28 is too big for a 1.6 engine anyway.

plenty of rs turbos running GT30's round here. no problems and not as much lag as you think.
rule of thumb is bigger turbo running less boost more power.
no point in just heating up the air with a tiny one. one a bigger one can make it more easily.
just like N/A tuning to be fair more power you weant higher up it's gunna be.
