Head Gasket

hi

ive got a 1.1 which is smoking wen started and has sum oil floating ontop of the water in the radiator .... blown head gasket apparently ...

£250 to sort it .... just wondering is it worth it on an "r" reg 1.1 ??

any advice and such appreciated

If your alright with a set of spanners give it a go yourself.....or if there is someone on here who lives local, see if they could give you a hand

£250 isn't bad, assuming it's not looking too bad for the next MOT etc, I'd go for it.

Thats not a bad price really mate. As fossie says if your good with your hands its easy enough to do yourself, most important part is to use a torque wrench to make sure you tighten the headbolts to the right tightness.
