Removing Silencer?

Well i am basically interested in removing the middle silencer on the Mk II exhaust. I have fitted a new back box and would like to remove the middle silencer but not sure how.

Also what difference would it make if it was removed??

it will make the exhaust note louder, you could replace it with a aftermarket centre section, kam racing sells supersprint ones,

or pop to an exhuast place and they can cut it out and weld in a new piece of pipe

As above will make abit louder but mine dint get really loud till i fitted my piper manifold which also decats mk2 saxos.
no real power gains from removing middle silencer maybe like 1-2 but nothing noticable.

doubt it would even be 1 bhp gain lol.

Depending on your backbox it can go really loud :)

im doing mine soon :)
