ok fitted this the other day and after it was blowing at the joit i got the corret gasket from citroen which sorted it out no problems
thing is it sounds like its still blowing but only when accelerating, is this totally normal or is it just me, i think its the gases escaping quicker though, there is no loss of performance and ive checked for blowing and i cant feel any air on any of the whole exhausts joints
so question is, is this normal that it sounds like its farting/rasping when accelerating???

if it de cats it, it will make it more raspy.
My system is a raceland 4-2-1, supersprint race centre section and a piper back box and it's pretty raspy

its probably because im really not used to it, but its definately not leaking as ive checked over and over again

if you've checked the joins at the head and the down pipe connection to the rest of the system and it's not blowing then it's all good I would say.
If you still aren't sure maybe anyone that lives near you has a straight through saxo take a spin in that to compare.

Been fitted since December, I'll be messing around with the car tomorrow so I should be able to get you video. It's a Raceland so it may sound a little different.
Want to change to a supersprint actually as the raceland sits too low. Fed up of my exhaust catching on every other bump!

my piper manifold did this but the rest of my exhaust was standard, as soon as put my magnex de-cat on it sorted it out, think was to do with how the gases were escaping.
Rasp ftw tbh

Pred: Mine sounds the same bud. I'm assuming it's normal as it doesn't seem to be blowing anywhere. How is it on cold starts? Does the car sound really rough?
The exhaust is coming off next week to have some length cut off the centre section so I'll let you know if resealing and new clamps makes any difference. I'm 99% sure it's not blowing though. :)

took it off again this morning and took the manifold apary ie the 2 into one branch bit, put some paste on it and whacked it back o its a little bit better but i think it just needs a bit cokin on it and then it wont sound as rough, performance is such a difference anyway
cheers for the replys people :y:

answered your PM pred but will post here also.
The supersprint just sounds like that. Its a feature of most SS manifolds
