Coke bottle and some hose and cir-clips from B&Q mate. Even a lot of the proper race cars have them, just for laughs really but they do the same job.

Can use it on any engine though
Sean, they stop oily warm air being recirculated into the inlet manifold mate. Cold dense air is better for performance, so its better if the oil vapours are contained in a separate container

So bottle with wire wool and a breather hole.

oil vapour routed back into the combustion chamber lowers the octane rating of the fuel / air mixture.
bad for performance.

Ive got the paint skills of a blind leper but here ya go mate;

You put a breather filter on top of the bottle, so it can breathe itself and the pressure doesnt build up. You then attach a hose to the breather outlet on the rocker cover, and connect it to th inside of the top of the neck of the bottle, below the breather filter.
Then you just block up any holes in your induction system left be the removal of the breather pipes, and secure the bottle to a solid part of the engine bay with a jublilee/cir-clip.

So good thing having catch tank or bad thing

definately a good thing
in addition to the paint diagram showing how to make one I'd fill that bottle with wire scouring pads. Gives the vapour something to condence on

so eventually it the bottle will get so full of oil? and like any filter will need changing?

if the engine is running correctly you shouldnt be filling the bottle fast.
obviously a high compression engine will breathe a bit more than standard but still shouldnt be pissing it out.
just empty the catch tank and reuse making sure you top the oil up in the engine if its run lower.
and i did piss myself at the 'its for turbos mate'

might be something to do to the next car then :)
is it better off been mounted where it can cool quickly? or doesnt it really matter?

Also good if your car is used on track a lot, being run hard, and breathing heavily. :)
