Hello.
does anyone fit these cams to his cars?
Can tell us the horsepower gain?
Also i would like to know the lift at the TDC of this cams
Does anyone know it?
I know that the duration is 280 and the valve lift is 10.91
The lift at the TDC is very important but it's not in the catalogue.

u will need new pistons ect to fit ph4
ph3 is as far as u can go lift wise on standard pistons

guess Cat CAMS was more popular here, how about
Cat 737?

I'm propose to upgrade current 708 to 734 recently.

thank you for the answers.
i will change the pistons so i would like something more from 708.
i saw that newmans PH4 has 280/280 and lift 10.91/10.91
i don't know about the lift at TDC.
You believe are not good cams?

tell me about 708s
yours car's horsepower?

708 work fine under 200kmh, 1~4 gear easily to reach
8xxxrpm, but it is weak @gear 5, I think that was cam
problem, suppose to shift the peak hp at higher rpm
area and keep the daily use so will choice Cat 734.
ask the mate at SSC same time, they suggest to
upgrade valve spring even piston as well, need to find
money to meet the budget. you can refer Cat 737
since they only different in the duration, and suppose
to the equal power with PH4.

did you go to a dynometer?
cat 737 don't need valve spring?
will you upgrade your car to 737 or 734?
jason2003

not dyno yet, just road testing and estimate:bored:
will go to 734 since it is for daily use, both 734/737
need to upgrade valve spring. my friend told me its
better to upgrade follower at the same time. and
the information on Cat also mention about retainers.

yes there equal!!
I think that 737 are better than kent pt52!!
do you usually fit pt52?
Here the most upgrades are with kent pt52.
But they didn't chane valve springs or retainers and cars works perfectly

look that PT52/PH3/300H/737 are at the same level,
but lots of SSC mate recommend Cat, and I got the
channel to get good price for it, that why choice it.
some people here use PT52, they say it is going
crazy after 4xxxrpm. since these cams got huge lift
(all around 11mm) and suppose you'll shift on higher
rpm than before; strengthen them seems reasonable.
what kind of ECU you choice? will keep the stock one
to me, here are lots of hi-cam work fine with std.
ECU, the garage can handle the idle problem:bored:

i don't think that pt52 is the same level as PH3.
Are same with PH4.
Yes pt52 has no power on low rpms.
After 4000 rpm car is getting crazy!!
I have the stock ECU but i will remap it.
the idle will be about 1100-1200 rpm.
A friend of mine will do this upgrade but i will help him because doesn't know about forums etc.

yep, PH3 was mis-typing. stock ECU was no problem
at all, the garage can handle the Idle Control Valve
via EVC. my current idle already @ 12xxrpm, its a
enhanced Saxo Sports setup:y: plus no revs limit.
and piston already cuted to fit the 11mm+ lift, my
only concern was valve spring/follower upgrade, it
cost me a lot.:wall:

don't change them..
they work fine with the OEM.
i told you that here they fit pt52 and they only cut the pistons.
they don't change valve springs and retainers

you have no revs limit???
it's wrong because this can cause you a big damage.
put the rev limit to 8100.
i think it's good

I think 8500+ was OK, and keep the rpm drop at peak
torque area (5xxxrpm~6xxxrpm) after shift up. if the
revs limit set to 8100 rpm, I'll keep current 708 since
it just waste the higher powerband.
