Considering Mid-mounted engine and rwd conversion.. Idea came up after being offered a 3.5l V8 engine.. :y: I know its not realistic due to weight.. but thinking along the lines of Audi v6? or 5 cyli motor which can be had for not alot of money.
I've seen Z-Cars conversion.. Has anyone on here attempted it with extensive pictures?
Interested in the building and jigging of the engine mounts and frame etc, and cutting out of existing body.. more than the engine itself at the moment.
Cheers

There was also a yellow 106 with kit that put a 2.2 prelude engine in the back. Was for sale a little while ago, think he wanted something silly like £7k just because of the amount of money he had to spend to get the engine in.

The Zcar kit is a bit lame, If your talking Audi engine give John at GMC a call. He was going to do a mid engine twin turbo Audi V8 Saxo.

PM me. We could arrange for it to be done in cornwall and that would save you a lot of money!
Hope you have a budget for it though. To do it properly and make something that will handle requires a lot of time and thought put into the conversion as well as a sizable amount of fabrication!
