turn engine over by hand to get the oil round (vts conversion)

and i turn it a few times goes stiff then lose and then goes so stiff i cant turn i anymore...

is it me being weak, or is it spose to do this, toke all 4 spark plugs out aswell.

another thing the old man said could it be because its in gear?

no linkages on atm, waiting for new x-sport ones

take the spark plugs out ? migh tbe in gear bout i doubt youd have been able to turn it already

Should go stiff then loose stiff then loose... etc continuously, you'll hear it hiss as it forces air through

this goes proper stiff, next thing to do is get a length of scaffold tube on the rachet and add extra force....


just dont wanna bust another engine lol

it goes stiff the lose about 3-4 times then proper stiff......

did you take the sparks put ? check the cams are alighned correctly as the are the only things i can think that are stopping it.

well the engine came straight out of the donor car, so not pissed about with the timing or anything

yeap sparks are out

hmm, shudnt be stiff at all then, as you said may still be in gear, have some one push the clutch in whilst you turn the engine, if you havent got the gear linkages

yea will do, ill try and get it out of gear by guessing....


couldnt be forked tonite, so made turbo style bumper instead lol

problem solved....

a bolt had got wedged in between the locking hole on the head and one of the cam spokes lol
