hi how do i know if i have a vts mk1 or mk2 vts engine ??? i have just bought to do a conversion if i post a pic will u be able to tell

think im rite in saying the mk2 has an egr valve kinda on top the manifold?

If it came with the ecu the mk2 has 3 plug and mk1 has 1 iirc.

surely if you rang up citroen with the engine code they'd tell you....

also by the looks of the connection on that alternator it came from a 3plug ecu car....

Its not mk1/mk2, the engine changed in 2001 - three plug ecu, air pump thingy on manifold head!

*looks* like a single plug mk1 engine, however its quite hard to tell from the pics

how many lamba sensors are there?

1 = single plug
2 = three plug

yea possibly, seems a stupid place to have it.

did you remove the engine yoursef from the other car?
