When i get home from the rigs im going to clean my filter i think.
How many times a year should you cleant the filter from the induction pipe.
iv got a k&n 57i the bit that comes up for the force air feed and it blows onto the filter.

are you meant to clean it and what do you use?

You don't have to clean it too often as the build up dirt gives extra filtration.
You can get special cleaning kits from K&N. These come with cleaning stuff and oil (you have to re-oil them after cleaning).

Yeah, its the re-charger kit mate. you spary on some special cleaning agent and let the filter stand for about 10 mins. Rinse it out well, you can tell by the dirt and crap that flows away that it's been cleaned well. Leave it to dry and then apply the oil that comes with the kit. Leave that to stand for about ten minutes and then replace your nice clean, bright red filter.

They'll be better throttle response after cleaning, but that slowly goes again as more crap builds around the filter.

Job done!
