vts mk1 or mk2 help please

hi im not sure if i have a mk 1 or mk2 vts engine i have bbought and i dont know wat reg the car was but its going in my furio heres a few pics i have taken tonight of it.. im i right in saying that thing on the right to the yellow dot is the egr vavle and that means it is a mk2 vts ???

Is the cambelt cover with it, if so engine number should be on there to tell you;)

right there must be some one who can tell me how to check i have a mk2 vts engine ive rang citroen no joy wats so ever mine has the egr valve so does that mean it a mk2 as im aware the mk1 engine did not have a egr valve

Yes that is a 2001-2003 engine, can tell by the blue 3 pin coolant temp sensor and egr hole in head.

hi and the egr valve hole is ok to just cover with metal and some sealant is that right
