i know the best way is pistons but ive been flicking through some automotive math books (sad i know).

i know i can skim the head to increase the ratio. has anybody done this to any effect and do you think it would yield any hp increase on a stock engine.

skimming wise on a stock engine doubt it!!

if i were you id have a look at seeing if pistons from a 106 XSI 1.4 or 1.6 will fit in your block as they are domed and designed for higher C/R's!!!! (higher surface area causes faster detonation and therefore harder detonation and obviously leads to higher C/R's) if you can do this then you will more than likely see a rise in BHP

XSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII FTW :D

hope this helps sam
