Limits too early!

I have recently has my cam belt changed. Since this has been done, the revs limit at about 5000 revs. Does anybody know what this is? Cheers nath

Nothing should have changed re: rev limit as a result of chanign the cambelt. Maybe a loose connection on a sensor, or ECU connection/relay connection under the ECU tray?

the rev limits at 5k, normal one limits at about 7k isnt it?

I can't remember what my old 1.4 limited at - I would imagine a shade over 6k

is it actually hitting a limiter? or loosing power could be a result of low back pressure, or as already said loose connection.

OR maybe the garage lowered your rev limiter to stop you killing your car :P
