what oil do people recomend for a throttle bodied and cammed vts with aprox 50k miles?

surely should still be same as standard unless cams state using a better oil?
mines on 708s and i use 10w40 semi synthetic told that was best
told me 5w40 was better for short journeys at it heats up quicker

With a cammed engine, the std oil recommendation goes out the window..
You want a 5w-40 fully synthetic..Semi synthetic wont be good enough tbh if it gets driven hard alot..

well i currently use a millers xfs oil and was just wondering if its worth changing brands thats all

millers xfs, pretty sure thats 5-40 fully syn. Pretty decent stuff for the price £30~ 5L

Thats popular if money is no object. However your prob better off changing the oil more often with the millers.
