Loose Gear stick!!

my gear box is really loose i.e i can wiggle it when its in gear and it looks like its not in gear!what does this mean??

does it make any noises when u wiggle it when it is in gear ? Abnormal noises I mean ?
Could be loose linkages, or worn gearbox syncomesh (sp)

put a new linkage on it, solved the problem for me.

under a tenner per linkage rod aswell isnt it ??

no it dont make any noises at all!!so you just think its the linkages? is it hard to do??

yep i agree sounds like the linkage even though i know nufin bout cars but its wot started to hapen to mine - then i reversed and it went completly and it was jst limp
