Could anyone do a massive favour for me, I havent got around to getting a Haynes manual yet for the gf's Mk1 1.1i, so its on the list very soon.

im after the gap for the sx 1.1i spark plugs. i have altered them to the 1.1i of the ax (which is 0.8) but when i took them out they was a larger gap, more like 0.9.. could anyone confirm this for me? As i'll have to leave the saxo with my gf and i live miles away.. I just dont want it not starting!!!!! i know how to sort it but my gf doesnt

Any help would be great..

cheers

Ive just checked my Haynes bible for you, but it doesnt say what the gap should be. In the three years ive had my MK1 1.1, Ive gone through 2 sets of spark plugs (through regular servicing), and ive never needed to adjust the electrode gaps tbh

Thats something i aint seen before. No spark plug gap data. On the Ax's its in where the Tyre demensions are etc. But if you cant find it. :wall:
Thanks for having a look mate..

Ive always checked them once buying them as they are never preset from the factory when they are produced, So it must have been completely well judged that you put them in straight away with no probs.

Could be the case as its starting to cough and splutter abit on start up but other then that she said it runs ok. I'll alter them back to what they was before. tomorrow or when ever i go.. !
