I brought one of these ages ago for my previous car and never got round to fitting it.
Can you fit them to a 2002 saxo vtr?
If so can someone tell me where to put it,it would be great if someone could put a picture to show me aswell.
cheers guys and gals.

i beg to differ differ there scott smileys/smiley2.gif i fitted 1 to my vtr and i used to get an extra 3 miles to the gallon. but the car didnt perform any better and like dan said they make an awful noise when you take ur foot off the gas
it fits on the hose that runs from the brake servo to the inlet manifold starkie smileys/smiley4.gif
there supposed to improve fuel comsumption which i have heard they do in some cases but my bro didnt see that much a difference when he had one on his old clio. also there supposed to improve throttle response, i dont know how but they are.?!?

super_sav (pete) pete wrote up a fantastic explanation as to exactly why they dont work. They were also banned from claiming they did what they did...because they dont work.

i can only go on my own experience with the device but it saved me quite a bit of money over a 6 month period that i had it fitted... i was putting in 50 quid a week in petrol and getting an extra 3 miles to the gallon more which dont seem much but works out quite a bit of a saving smileys/smiley14.gif
ecotek (http://www.ecotekplc.com/) they still claim it does improve performance and mpg on there website scott smileys/smiley2.gif

Proved by many on dynos to give no power gain. Not surprising really as if you look at what it is. Also when fitted to some vehicles they have been implicated in damaging the engine. I suspect this is true due to the vacuum pipe on some vehicle only feeds one cylinder directly so any air introduced could result in possible detonation and over heating on that cylinder. It's one of those many things that many people say if it actually works why were they not fitted as standard. Like magnets in the fuel line and “vortex generators” on the induction.

Generally you just have ring the neck of these cars to get them to go. Try keeping the revs well above 3000. But saying that if your cars is stuttering or jerking your may have a problem with your engine. So the best mod would be to get it diagnosed and sorted.

the engine management light came on nd the reading was ageing cat nd no reading from lamba sensors. replaced lamba sensors nd de cated it. lights still on but unless i remap it i doubt itl go off. been told my induction kit is meant for the 16v so that could part of the problem?

You have a late model Saxo if you have a decat you have to take out the second lamba. So if that is still in that can give you a error. Also some of the errors on the ECU can only be cleared my resetting the ECU. So if they did not reset your ECU it may just be holding the error. But never did play much with the stock ECU so not 100% on it
