a boy round my area has a few 106 xsi 1.4 engines for sale and i own a westcoast and was woundering if a 106 xsi enegine will fit straight into a westcoast?
:O Whats wrong with the westie engine?

they will go straight in as long as u have the right bits mate.
and change the radiator.and brakes.

but sayin that u can pick up a vtr with box and loom and the rest for pennies!

most xsi engines have done well over 100k, personly knowing how badly they can run, i wouldnt bother. vtr engines as said can be picked up dirt cheap, dont bother with vtr gearbox, try a 1.1 for cheapness, if hes got a xsi 1.4 gearbox grab that haha, there plenty short ratio enough.

if u aint got the time jus buy the vtr engine, they usually come with a box and loom. i have a friend selling a vtr engine though funnily enough.. pm me if ur interested.

Just swap the cylinder heads over mate if they fit

so if i had a 1.4xsi gear box on a vtr engine would it be fairly quick on acceleration?
