not sure if every1 knows this but the cat on a 1.1 mk 1 is on the centre section, on the vtr's it is on the downpipe, so you can use a vtr centre pipe as a d-cat. and its a genuine engine part so thats cool.

Have you actually fitted this to your car? Because I would have though the VTR pipe would be a bigger bore? Interesting if it does fit though.
The later 1.1's have the same kind of set up (just a pipe with no cat) so I expect that would be an easier fit. Im going to try one of these myself soon

Not entirely correct...
All mk1 8v saxo's and VTS's have the cat in the mid section, like yours!
But most of the silver top mk2 8v's have the cat in the manifold. With the expection of a few 90bhp mk2's!

so you could fit a mk1 8v manifold to a mk2 1.1 8v and it would de-cat?

That is correct my friend, though I think you may have to do some relocation. Then when the MOT comes you use a centre section with the cat in the centre section to pass :y:

nope manifold wont fit i have tried the mounting bolts are diff

vtr mani should fit on
snewham had a raceland on his i believe
i put a supersprint on my 1.1
did the job fine
