I have had my vtr for a 3 months now and want to put a performance back box on. There is already a stainless steel system on it put doesn't sound great. Would a piper back box fit on this?

I don't mean to sound rude, but it's a bit like asking whether a certain pair of jeans would fit without knowing anything regarding sizes. You havn't given us an idea of brand, magnes, supersprint, janspeed . . . . .

If the stainless system on there is a mirror image of the standard system, with regards to shape/fixing locations/type of connections between cat, centre section and backbox, then the piper will fit.

My piper backbox replaced my standard backbox and connected fine upto my standard centre section. So if your stainless centre section is the same as the standard centre section, but just in stainless, then a piper backbox would fit.

Best bet is to have a search on here for peoples progress threads and see what centre sections they've had when fitting a piper backbox, and get a feel for what fits and what doesn't.

If you post up a picture of the tail end of your centre section, we should be able to judge whether it looks like 'standard' fixings/shape.

Sorry for a mini rant, but a bit of common sense would have helped.

The back box has been welded to the centre section. what would you suggest? buy a full system?
