i like the front lights painted how easy was it to do as i may do same for time being and i like the lights behind grill i was thinking of doing that on bottom grill how did it look

The front lights were really easy to do..
Just stick them in the over for a bit.. open them up.. and paint the silver bit that comes out.
Then stick it all together again and it's sorted :)
You wont be able to do the indicators though, you got to buy some smoked ones off ebay... like 15 quid i think. Well worth it :)

I wasn't sure about the lights behind the grill, I wanted them so i could see better in the dark (as my full beam doesnt work) but they didn't really serve that purpose.
If you think it'll looks good do it though!

But yeh :) easy job!

I bought a new car..
It's a 2001 furio, in silver...
just under 65k miles, up for sale at 1000, and i got it for 900...
Going to pick it up tomorrow morning..

There's a pretty cheap badgeless grill on it, some DTM style mirrors.. some.. interesting alloys.. and a twin exhaust trim with a massive cutout on the bumper...
It also has four.. yes four speakers on the parcel shelf.. and a massive fusion sub (which i think has an integrated amp..)

It's got the standard grill in the boot (which will be going on tomorrow!) and also the standard mirrors.
I'm going to get my mirror caps sprayed up and put on tomorrow as well.

I already have a new rear bumper, which will be sprayed as soon as possible.. and as for the wheels, i'm thinking a set of VTR rims will be good for a short term fix. Only 50 quid.. so all in all not bad :)

Also the tints will be coming out i'm afraid :(

Nope.. looked in pretty good condition..
Obama just landed in the UK!!
There is a little dent on the bonnet (no big deal) and a scratch on the drivers side rear quarter.
It needs a bit of back to black, new rear bumper, and wing mirrors..

I think it's quartz silver?
it was the only silver for the saxo that halfords had.. so i bought a can ;)
might get the mirror caps done tonight after work...
Going to get the bus into town tomorrow, and train to southport in the morning!

Got the insurance.. turns out the price of 1250 a year was as a lump sum...
They charge extra for all kinds of stuff..
It actually works out at 1500 a year! haha... oh well..
All those things like "35 pound service charge"etc really add up..
I have to pay a 190 pound deposit tomorrow..
Oh well, same price as my 1.1 anyway.

It's alright.. he's got a chipped, turbo'ed 1.2 clio with "injection".
He bullshits so much about his car it's amazing.. you've never met anyone like it..
Still a friend though..
A stripped 1.1 looses a 1.2 clio up hills easy :D it's awesome.

My mum took the new car really badly.. she thinks it's a total waste of money and that i should be saving for university.
I tried to compare it to shoes.. but she pointed out shoes dont cost 900 quid..
Oh well...

Sprayed the mirror caps quartz silver.. hopefully that's the colour of the car.
Not too impressed with them.. look really flat.. maybe i didn't put enough layers of colour on.
I have a tendancy to rush paintwork.. but oh well..
Cant wait for tomorrow now.. say goodbye to this thread :(

Got the car today.. and wow.. i didn't realise cars could accelerate after 40mph..
5th gear all the way on the motorway.. the car just seems to run away with itself..
I've already started de chavving.. the standard grill, standard mirrors, and standard fuel filler cap were all in the boot.. so they've all been fitted.

Amphibious as well.. got it through some right floods!
One time it was up to the bonnet, above the lights, and it was all coming the through the doors.
