apart from built up areas obv 30 and theres the odd, 40 and 60. But where u see the sign over here which means national speed limit applys, over there it means go as fast as ya can to the conditions of the road and wether etc. ;)

I go there almost every month and its nothing to write home about to be fair. Other than Douglas its boring as fuck. Its easy to get pulled for "dangerous driving" or furious driving as someone said (not sure if thats true but it probably is) and it nearly ALWAYS rains. What is different, is that on some roads it tells you how many people have died on that road in the past 3 years and numbers are crossed out as they've gone up/down etc. seems quite strange.

Its about £200 (changes all the time) to take a car over from Liverpool / Heysham, have a look on http://www.steam-packet.com and you should get sorted out.

well you carnt really think its that boring if you go every month! go when the manx grand prix or the tt is on! try going accross on a bike and then see how boring it can be!

True no speed limits in the countryside in places but with the roads curving and hairpins every so often is it wise to be pelting full speed into them ;)

Her parents live there so I basically get an all expenses paid (including flights) weekend of alcohol and food, driven round in either a 3 litre 3 series, mini cooper convertible or on the back of a Harley so its fair to say I've experienced the roads... but it is still boring outside of Douglas. There are only 1 or 2 roads you can hammer it on without hitting a sharp bend and the roads are VERY un-even that any car is uncomfortable. I've been over for the TT and the southern grand prix which is ok, yes, but they aint on every week and it takes forever to get served in Douglas on TT week. Its a nice place, don't get me wrong, just not a lot to do there which is why its become a retirement place.
