My mates Gramp died yesterday, and they were real close.
My mate has showed no sign of emotion yet. Im really starting to get worried he's going to explode.
Iv tried talking to him and all I get is "I'm fine"
And he's not, I know him better than anyone.
When I lost my lifelong mate, I went of the rials from the minute I found out for a long time
Seems we handle it differently and I'm stuck.
Advice on how to actually handle the situation when it arises.
The funerals on wednesday and I think thats when it will hit him. (im going to it also)

it may not come
people deal with death in different ways
it could be after funeral, my unle died and his brother seemed fine even at funeral, just seem to act as if nothin had happened, hit him hard about a month later
just give him space if he wants to talk he will

Sounds like the same way i deal with things like that. Just let him know you're always around but don't keep bugging him about it.

this is soo true...
my mama died who i was close too, i never cried or thought about it to much just thought of other things....
The will came through and she stated who she wanted to be a paul bearer....
i was in the list...
In the big limo thing to the funeral all my cousins crying and i felt an absolute prick cause i couldnt cry....
Carried her through into the church and was still fine.... after the proceedings the gates started closing, it hit me then....
I stopped from crying but was welling up... and times healed...
And yes yates 15 year olds can be paul bearers lol!!!

My mates brother died in a car accident and he never cried at all just bottled it up, the only thing you can do is really what everyone else has suggested and that's be there for them for when they need you!
