Can someone point me in the direction of a decent guide? I did see one on here a while back but the link to it in the sticky seems to be dead?
Thanks for any help

I've already seen that, and it's more a bit of information than a guide.

Need to know more about the loom, is everything done in the engine bay or will I have to get under the dash and start pissing about?
Also this fuel return line, do I have to get some more piping or what?
Also read about transponders and keys ect?

A lot of people never bother with the return line, i do, but only when the car doesnt run well without one.

I'll just buy a VTS engine and go from there lol

why does it NEED to be a 2001 engine? just the same 'plug' loom and ecu as your car and you'll be fine.

It doesn't necessarily need to be a 2001 engine, It would just be ideal if it was.
Decent Mk2 ones are harder to find in general, mk1's are everywhere.

hire a transit van and drive into the rear of a decent vts doing it well enough to write it off. then try and find where the car is being scrapped at. job done haha
