how do i fit a module/resistor to my saxo? and is it worth it?

it's a 1.1 forte if that makes any difference.

I've found guides on the internet but the pictures aren't very clear.

help would be greatly appreciated.

Forget it dude..

It tricks the ecu into thinking the engine is cold all the time so runs the engine very rich..Not good for fuel economy..Also they are just wank in general..

Not worth it really, it's just a cheap mod that will cost you in the long run!

Simple rule for engine mods:

Pay peanuts, get monkeys.

All they do is make you use a tonne of petrol, but without balancing the airflow or any other factors that will actually boost your engine performance. Bore wash, anyone?

does anybody know how much it would cost to get a VTR engine fitted in my Saxo?

£250 for engine..

then around £500 to have it fitted i expect..

but you would have to uprate brakes, suspension and gearbox really..

just buy a VTR..

Or just go for a VTS conversion :y:

It is a lot of work... you ideally need the rear axle from a VTR/VTS, definitely upgraded front brakes... but if you really like your car and can't be bothered to change it, then go ahead and mess with it!

As it happens I'm working on wringing as much bhp out of the 1.1 as possible... gone from 58bhp to 74bhp... next stage is a custom cam + exhaust manifold, full port & polish, etc.
