One for you pros out there. Was wondering if people knew if these are decent bits of kit or eBay pap:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Saxo-1-6-16V-Turbo-Forged-Pistons-Steel-con-rods-set_W0QQitemZ380023073058QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item3 80023073058&_trkparms=39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A3|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Someone might find these useful if they are.

There is another set but at £500 without the conrod

read up on PEC on SSC mate and you will see why they used to do their own pistons but was all rubbish not right size etc. Woosner are good if they are genuine products their rods are crap the pec ones have a word with John at GMC.

Woosner are good but based on the rep pec have got recently then its nto really encouraging. But then again they probaby / may have sorted their manufacturing so may be a abrgain but Id rather pay for a known quality than saving on something that is mega important

I've heard that they are very good as well. GMC sell them so whats wrong with the eBay ones.

What would you go for instead.

I am saying woosner is good, but PEC is not good. No problems with woosner stuff as got some low comp pistons myself from them. What I am saying is that PEC used to sell their own forged pistons which were crap and used exactly same pictures as they did on the ebay add, also pec conrods was either small or bgi end that was manufactured to totally the wrong size.

Seriously ask john at gmc about pec products. Id just got to gmc or forgedpistons.co.uk for woosner piston and rods about the same or

So Woosner Pistons & Rods FTW... (PEC are shit then...!)
I am only asking as I am planning a VTS turbo instead of buying a new car as my Saxo is already paid for so whats the point in finance again.

GMC is the place to go for these then. It that correct.
