Hello,

I know that the more cold air the engine gets the better and quicker it goes, well lets say if the engine gets too much cold air, what will happen then?

it will underfuel if the ecu and injectors cant keep up with the air/fuel ratio. then it will pink and detonate and go bye bye... but u'd never do that unless u've strapped a turbo or supercharger on without having a new fuel set up

Y?

so basically if i was getting too much cold air into the engine, in order for the ecu and injectors to keep up with the air/fuel ratio i would require a new fuel set up? what else would i need to do?

no your injectors are sized for your engine and its potential. If the air is too hot it tens to pink or pre-ignight because the air is that hot that it heats up the plugs or a part of the piston, so that when the piston compressed the air it ignights the fuel before the spark plug does resulting in a metal pinging sound.

Can damage your engine on any setup but the ecu advances/retards the ign accordingly to accomodate this.

If on boost its 10x worse because your forcing air in not letting the engine suck it.

yea sorry, to much of any air just in general would cause big problems really! - lol

y r u asking? i cant see your gettin too much cold air in in standard form as they take cars to places like the artic to test them in pre production
